RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF SCHIEFNER PROPERTY
FOR PARK PURPOSES
WHEREAS, Richard Parranto, who has been retained by the Village to
negotiate for the acquisition of property for the Village for park
and open space purposes has presented to the Village Council an
Earnest Money Contract providing for the acquisition by the Village
of certain property in the Village hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS, said Earnest Money Contract has been obtained from the
following owner covering the following described property and for the
following consideration:
PROPERTY OWNER: Marie Schiefner
PROPERTY DESCRIPTION: The property designated as Site #5,
Parcel #3, consisting of approximately
4.19 acres of land
PURCHASE PRICE: $12,570.00
and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Village to acquire fee
simple title to said property of Marie Schiefner upon the terms and
conditions hereinabove stated.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of the
Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows:
1) That the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed on behalf of the Village to execute said Earnest
Money Contract providing for the acquisition of fee simple
title to said property upon the terms and conditions
hereinabove stated.
2) That the Village Attorney be and is hereby authorized
and directed to take all steps necessary to consummate the
acquisition of said sanitary sewer easements.
Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights this
17th day of December, 1968.
