RESOLUTION NO. 207
RESOLUTION ORDERING FRIENDLY HILLS STORM
SEWER, STREET, CURB, AND GUTTER IMPROVE-
MENTS AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECI-
FICATIONS THEREFOR
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the 15th day of October, 1968,
at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall of the Village of Mendota
Heights, Minnesota, pursuant to resolution adopted by the Village
Council of the Village of Mendota Heights on September 17, 1968, on
the question of the proposed construction of the following described
improvements to serve the Friendly Hills Rearrangement and the property
adjacent thereto, to -wit:
The construction of a storm sewer system, including appur-
tenances and incidentals thereto, and the acquisition of
easements, and the construction of concrete curbs and
gutters and the construction and reconstruction:where
necessary of streets in said area.
WHEREAS, due publication of the notice of public hearing on said pro-
posed construction has been attended to, and
WHEREAS, mailed notice of said hearing was mailed more than 10 days
before the date of said hearing to the owners of each parcel situated
within the area proposed to be assessed, all in accordance with the
applicable Minnesota Statutes, and
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer reported that the proposed improvements
and construction thereof were feasible and desirable and further reported
on the proposed costs of said improvements and construction thereof, and
WHEREAS, the Village Council then proceeded to hear all persons inter-
ested in said improvements and all persons were afforded an opportunity
to present their views and objections to the making of said improvements,
and
WHEREAS, on motion duly made and seconded and unanimously carried, said
hearing was continued until Tuesday, November 19, 1968, at 8:00 o'clock
P.M. at the Mendota Elementary School at 1025 Highway No. 110 in said
Village, and
WHEREAS, said continued hearing was duly reconvened at said time and
place, and
WHEREAS, the Village Council then proceeded to hear all persons inter-
ested in said improvements and all persons were afforded an opportunity
to present their views and objections to the making of said improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of the
Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows:
1) That it is advisable, feasible, expedient and necessary
that the Village of Mendota Heights construct the above
described improvements within the area described in the
notice of hearing of said improvements, save and except for
that part of the Friendly Hills Rearrangement Subdivision
situated within the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 25,
Township 28 North, Range 23 West (commonly also referred
to as the "First Section" of said Friendly Hills Rearrange-
ment), and it is hereby ordered that said improvements be
made.
2) That the Village Engineer be and is hereby instructed
to proceed with the preparation of the necessary plans and
specifications for said improvements.
