Res 69 - 220 Accepting Engineer's Report & Calling for Hearing on Proposed Construction of an Extension to the Village's Sanitary Sewer System to Serve the 3rd Ave AreaVillage of Mendota Heights Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO.- 220 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING ENGINEER'S REPORT AND CALLING FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF AN EXTENSION TO THE VILLAGE'S SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM TO SERVE THE THIRD AVENUE AREA WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has submitted his report to the Village Council with respect to the proposed construction of the following improvements: The construction of an extension to the Village sanitary sewer system, including appurtenances and incidentals thereto, and the acquisition of easements, and the recon- struction where necessary of streets in the area herein- after more particularly described. WHEREAS, the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is situated within the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota and is more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the most southeasterly corner of the Cherry Hills Subdivision, north along easterly line of Cherry Hills Subdivision to the north line of Lot 5, Vandalls Outlots; thence easterly along the north line of aforesaid Lot 5, Vandalls Outlots and the north line extended to the centerline of Clement Street; thence northerly along the centerline of aforesaid Clement Street to the centerline of alley extended of Block 8, T.T. Smith's Subdivision No. 3; thence easterly along aforesaid alley centerline and center- line extended of Block 8, T.T. Smith's Subdivision No. 3, to the centerline of Vandall Street (being the street situated between Block 7, T.T. Smith's Subdivision No. 3 and Block 2, T.T. Smith's Subdivision No. 4); thence southerly on the centerline of Vandall Street to the centerline extended of the alley in Block 10, T.T. Smith's Subdivision No. 3, thence easterly along the centerline extended of the alley in said Block 10, T.T. Smith's Subdivision No. 3, and the back lot line of Block 3, T.T. Smith's Subdivision No. 4 to the centerline of Dodd Road; thence southerly along the centerline of Dodd Road to the south line extended of Lot 2, Block 4, T.T. Smith's Subdivision No. 2; thence westerly on aforesaid south line and south line extended of Lot 2, Block 4, T. T. Smith's Subdivision No. 2 to the easterly line of Lot 12, Block 4, T.T. Smith's Subdivision No. 2; thence southerly along east line of aforesaid Lot 12,to southerly line of afore- said Lot 12, Block 4, T.T. Smith's Subdivision No. 2; thence westerly along southerly line and southerly line extended of aforesaid Lot 12 and also Lots 9, 10 and 11 of Block 4, T.T. Smith's Subdivision No. 2, to the centerline of Clement Street; thence north along center- line of Clement Street to the southerly line extended of Lot 2, Vandall's Outlots; thence westerly along the southerly line and southerly line extended of Lot 2, Vandall's Outlots to the westerly line of Lot 2, Vandall's Outlots; thence northerly along the westerly line of afore- said Lot 2, Vandall's Outlots to the point of beginning and there terminating. WHEREAS, in said report said Village posed improvements and construction and further reported on the proposed NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY Engineer reported that the pro - thereof were feasible and desirable costs of said improvements. RESOLVED, that the report of said Village Engineer be and is hereby received, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing on said improvements be held on Tuesday, May 20, 1969, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall of the Village of Mendota Heights, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk, with the aid and assistance of the Village Attorney, be and is hereby authorized and directed to prepare a notice of said hearing and to cause said notice to be published and mailed to the owners of the property situated within aaid area, all in accordance with the applicable Minnesota Statutes.
