Res 69 - 284 Authorizing Purchase of Easements for Village PurposesVillage of Mendota Heights Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 284 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF EASEMENTS FOR VILLAGE PURPOSES WHEREAS, Richard Parranto who has been retained by the Village to negotiate for the acquisition of easements for the pending Village improvement projects has presented to the Village Council Earnest Money Contracts providing for the granting to the Village of ease- ments over certain property in the Village hereinafter described, and WHEREAS, the properties covered by said easements are presently sub- ject to condemnation proceedings heretofore commenced by the Village for the purpose of acquiring said easements. WHEREAS, said easements have been obtained with respect to the fol- lowing described improvement projects from the following owners over the following described properties and for the following consideration,: Improvement No. 69, Project No. 4 Property Owner: Thomas O. Curley Property Description: Parcel No. 2 Price: $500.00 Property Owner: Thomas 0. Curley Property Description: Parcel No. 7 Price: $630.00 Property Owner: Thomas O. Curley Property Description: Parcel No. 8 Price: $360.00 Property Owner: Thomas 0. Curley Property Description: Parcel No. 9 Price: $470.00 Property Owner: Thomas O. Curley Property Description: Parcel No.,10 Price: $225.00 Improvement 68, Project No. 8 Property Owner: Evelyn Perron Property Description: A strip of land 80 feet in width, the center line of which is described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast corner of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 33, Township 28 North, Range 23 West, thence West along the North line of said 1/4 1/4 Section and its extension a distance of 660.0 feet to the point of beginning; thence deflect to the right on a 6°08' curve (Delta angle 30°01) a distance of 489.13 feet; thence con- tinuing on the tangent to the curve to its intersection with the center line of S.T.H. 13 (a distance of 450 feet more or less) as now laid out and traveled, and there terminating, except that part already acquired by State of Minnesota for future S.T.H. 13. Said strip of land lying entirely within the SE 1/4 of Section 33, Township 28 North, Range 23 West,'and con- taining approximately 1.2 acres. Price: $8,400.00 Improvement 68, Project No. 9 Property Owner: Evelyn Perron Property Description: Parcel No. 3 Price: $2,400.00 Property Owner: Louis C. Sachs Property Description: Parcel No. 3 Price: $400.00 WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Village to acquire said easements upon the terms and conditions hereinabove stated. NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the Village to execute said Earnest Money Contracts providing for the acquisition of said easements upon the terms and conditions hereinabove stated. 2) That the Village Attorney be and is hereby authorized and directed to take all steps necessary to consummate the acquisition of said sanitary sewer easements.
