Res 70 - 303 Ordering Construction of a Water Distribution System, Sanitary Sewer System & of Street, Curb & Gutter ImprovementsVillage of Mendota. -Heights Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 303 RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF A WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM, SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM AND OF STREET, CURB, AND GUTTER IMPROVE- MENTS TO SERVE THE BURIL AND HOLMES SUBDIVISION AND ADJACENT AREAS AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS THEREFOR WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the 10th day of February, 1970, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall of the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, pursuant to resolution adopted by the Village Council of the.Village of Mendota Heights on January 6, 1970, on the question of the proposed construction of the following described improve- ments: The construction of an extension to the Village sanitary sewer system, including appurtenances and incidentals thereto, and the acquisition of easements, and the reconstruction where necessary of streets in the area hereinafter more particularly described. The construction of an extension to the Village water distribu- tion.system including appurtenances.and incidentals thereto, and the acquisition .of easements, and the reconstruction where necessary of streets in the area hereinafter more particularly described. The construction of street improvements consisting of the grading, stabilization, drainage and bituminous surfacing, and the con- struction of concrete curbs and gutters on the streets to be situated in the area hereinafter -more particularly described, and WHEREAS, the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is situated within the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, and is more particu- larly described as follows: All of the South 220 feet of the Southwest one-fourth (SW 1/4) of Section 23, and the North one-half (N 1/2) of the Northwest one-fourth of Section 26, all in Township 28 North, Range 23 West. WHEREAS, due publication of the notice of public hearing on said proposed construction has been attended to, and WHEREAS, mailed notice of said hearing has been mailed more than 10 days before the date of said hearing�,to the owners of each parcel situated within the area proposed to be assessed, all in accordance with the applicable Minnesota Statutes, and WHEREAS, the Village.Engineer reported that the proposed improvements and construction thereof were feasible and desirable and further reported on the proposed costs of said improvements and construction thereof, and WHEREAS, the Village Council then proceeded to hear all persons interested in said improvements and all persons were afforded an opportunity to present their views and objections to the making of said improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows: 1) That it is advisable, feasible, expedient and necessary that the Village of Mendota Heights construct the above described improvements and it is hereby ordered that said improvements be made. 2) That the Village Engineer be and is hereby instructed to i proceed with the preparation of the necessary plans and speci- fications for said improvements. 3) That hereafter said improvements shall be known and designated as Improvement No. 70, Project No. 4.
