Res 70 - 304 Ordering Construction of a Water Distribution System, Sanitary & Storm Sewer Systems & of Street, Curb & Gutter ImprovementsVillage of Mendota Heights Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 3 0 RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF A WATER. DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM, SANITARY AND STORM SEWER SYSTEMS AND OF STREET, CURB, AND GUTTER IMPROVEMENTS TO SERVE EAGLE RIDGE AND. ADJACENT AREAS AND PREPARA- TION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS THEREFOR WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the 10th day of February, 1970, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at.the.Village Hall of the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, pursuant to resolution adopted by the -Village Counci•1•-of the Village of Mendota Heights on January 6, 1970, on the question of the proposed construction of the following described improvements: The construction of an extension to the Village sanitary sewer system, including appurtenances and incidentals thereto, and the acquisition of easements, and the reconstruction where necessary of streets in the area hereinafter more particularly described. The construction of a storm sewer system -including appurtenances and incidentals thereto and the acquisition of easements, in and for the area -hereinafter -more particularly described. The construction of an extension to the Village water distribu- tion system including appurtenances and incidentals thereto, and the acquisition of easements, and the reconstruction where necessary of streets in the area hereinafter more particularly described. The construction of street improvements consisting of the grading, stabilization, drainage and bituminous surfacing, and the con- struction of concrete curbs and gutters on the streets to be situated in the area hereinafter more particularly described, and WHEREAS, the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is situated within the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, and is more particularly described as follows: All of the Southwest one-fourth (SW 1/4) of the Southeast one-fourth (SE 1/4) of Section 23, Township 28 North, Range 23 West. • All of the Northwest one-fourth (NW 1/4) and the West one- fourth (W 1/4) of the Northeast one-fourth (NE 1/4) and that part of the Southwest one-fourth (SW 1/4) lying North of FAI 35E all in the Northeast one-fourth (NE 1/4) of Section 26, Township 28 North, Range 23 West. Lot 3, Block 1, of Ridgewood Park Subdivision to Dakota County. All of the East one-half (E 1/2) of the Northwest one-fourth (NW 1/4) of Section 26, Township 28 North, Range 23 West, in- cluding the area plotted as Wagenknecht's Addition to Dakota County. WHEREAS, due publication of the notice of public hearing on said proposed construction has been attended to, and WHEREAS, mailed notice of said hearing has been mailed more than 10 days before the date of said hearing to the owners of each parcel situated within the area proposed to be assessed, all in accordance with the applicable Minnesota Statutes, and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer reported that the proposed improvements and construction thereof were feasible and desirable and further reported on the proposed costs of said improvements and construction thereof, and WHEREAS, the Village Council then proceeded to hear all persons interested in said improvements and all persons were afforded an opportunity to pre- sent their views and objections to the making of said improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows: 1) That it is advisable, feasible, expedient and necessary that the Village of Mendota Heights construct the above described improvements and it is hereby ordered that said improvements be made. 2) That the Village Engineer be and is hereby instructed to proceed with the preparation of the necessary plans and speci- fications for said improvements. 3) That hereafter said improvements shall be known and desig- nated as Improvement No. 70, Project No. 2.
