Res 70 - 344 Authorizing Mayor& Clerk to Execute Anendatory Contract with the US Dept of Housing & Urban Development Providing for an Increase in the Relocation Grant in Connection with the Grant Heretofore Made to the Village to AcquireVillage of Mendota Heights Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 344 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CLERK TO EXE- CUTE AMENDATORY CONTRACT'WITH THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OV'HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASE IN THE RELOCATION GRANT IN CONNECTION WITH THE GRANT HERETOFORE MADE TO THE VILLAGE TO ACQUIRE AND/OR DEVELOP LAND FOR OPEN SPACE PURPOSES UNDER TITLE VII OF THE HOUSING ACT OF 1961, AS AMENDED WHEREAS, the Village of Mendota Heights has heretofore received a grant from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to assist the Village in acquiring open space land for park and related purposes pursuant to Title VII of the Housing Act of 1961, as amended, and WHEREAS, pursuant to said grant, the Village has been -advised that the total sum of up to $57,300.00 (of which $80b.00) constitutes a relocation grant) has been allocated to it to assist the Village in acquiring said open space land, and WHEREAS, said project has heretofore been designated as Project No. MILAN -OSA -27, Contract No. MILAN -OSA -27(g), and WHEREAS,.pursuant to application made by the Village, the relocation grant mage under said project has been increased from $800.00 to the stim,of $5,773.03, and WHEREAS, the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has submitted a proposed form of amendatory contract providing for said increase in said relocation grant, and WHEREAS, the execution of said amendatory contract is in the best interests of the Village of Mendota Heights. I NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of�Mendota Heights as follows: 1) That the Mayor and Clerk of the Village of Mendota Heights be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute said amendatory contract on behalf of the Village of Mendota Heights.
