RESOLUTION NO. 348
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PROHIBITION
OF PARKING ON THE EAST SIDE OF
LEXINGTON AVENUE FROM HIGHWAY NO. 110
TO TOM THUMB BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the construction of the new.plant of Gould, Inc. at the
southwest corner of Highway No. 110 and Lexington Avenue south has
created and will continue to create traffic congestion.in said
area, and
WHEREAS, the Village Police Department has recommended that parking
be prohibited on the east side of Lexington Avenue from Highway No.
110,to Tom Thumb Boulevard, and
WHEREAS, the Village Council is of the opinion that it would be in
the best interests of the Village to prohibit parking on the east
side of Lexington Avenue from Highway No. 110 to Tom Thumb Boulevard.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of the
Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota as follows:
1) That parking on the east side of Lexington Avenue from
Highway No. 110 to Tom Thumb Boulevard be prohibited.
2) That appropriate signs be placed on Lexington Avenue
at said location providing for said "no parking".
3) That Dakota County be forthwith notified of this action
by the Village of Mendota Heights.
Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights
this 19th day of May, 1970.
