Res 70 - 361 Approving Plans & Specification & Ordering Advertisement for Bids for New Sibley High School & Freeway Road Area ImprovementsVillage of Mendota Heights Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 361 RESOLUTION AP.PROVING.PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR NEW SIBLEY HIGH SCHOOL AND FREEWAY ROAD AREA IMPROVEMENTS (IMPROVEMENT NO. 70, PROJECT NO. 5) WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has submitted his report to the Village Council with respect to the proposed construction of the following improvements to serve the new Sibley High School and Freeway Road areas, to -wit: The construction of an extension to the Village sanitary sewer system, including appurtenances and incidentals thereto, and the acquisition of easements, and the reconstruction where necessary of streets in said area. The construction of a storm sewer system including appurtenances and incidentals thereto and the acquisi- tion of easements, in and for said area. The construction of an extension to the Village water distribution system including appurtenances and inci- dentals thereto, and the acquisition of easements, and the reconstruction where necessary of streets in said area. The construction of street improvements consisting of the grading, stabilization, drainage and bituminous surfacing, and the construction of concrete curbs and gutters on the streets to be situated in said area. and, WHEREAS, said improvements have heretofore been known and designated as Improvement No. 70, Proj. No. 5, and WHEREAS, in said reports the Village Engineer reported that said pro- posed improvements and construction thereof were feasible and desirable and further reported on the proposed costs of said improvements, and WHEREAS, the Village Council has heretofore determined that it is advisable, feasible, expedient ,and necessary that the Village of Mendota Heights construct said improvements and has heretofore ordered that said improvements be made and has further directed that the Village Engineer proceed with the preparation of plans and specifica- tions therefor, and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for said improvements and has presented such plans and specifications to the Village Council for approval, NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows: 1) That the plans and specifications for the construction of said improvements be and are hereby in all respects approved. 2) That the Village Clerk with the aid and assistance of the Village Engineer be and is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids for said improvements, all in accordance with the applicable Minnesota Statutes, such bids to be received at the Village Hall of the Village of Mendota Heights by 2:00 o'clock P.M. -on Tuesday, August 25, 1970, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Village Council Chambers of the Village Hall by at least one of the members of the Village Council and the Village Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will then be considered by the Village Council at its next regular or special meeting.
