RESOLUTION NO. 425
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO MARY SWANSON
FOR PARK LAND RELOCATION BENEFIT ASSISTANCE
AND AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR ADDITIONAL
RELOCATION BENEFITS
WHEREAS, the Village of Mendota Heights has heretofore received a
grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to
assist it in acquiring open space land for park and related purposes
pursuant to Title VII of the Housing Act of 1961 as amended, and
WHERE -AS, said project has been designated as Project No. MINN-OSA-
27, Contract NO. MINN-OSA-27(g), and
WHEREAS, the grant for relocation payments authorized under said
grant"At,heretofore amended amounts to a total of $50733.03, and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Courtney Pince have recently filed a claim for
rel6dation benefits in the total amount of $1,577.76, and .1
'WHEREAS, it is therefore necessary for the Village to request An
indrease in the relocation budget -Authorized under said grant to
cover the claim of said Mr. and -Mrs. Courtney Pince, and
WHEREAS, in order to prepare said claim, it -was -necessary that,the
Village obtain the services of Mary Swanson who is an employee of
the South St, Paul Housing and Redevelopment Authority and experienced
in the preparation of said claims, and
WHEREAS, said Mary Swanson for her services in preparing said claim
of said Mr. and Mrs. Courtney Pince has submitted her statement to
the Village in the total amount of $110.00.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of
the Village of Mendota Heights as follows:
1) That the statement submitted by said Mary Swanson
in the amount of $110.00 for services rendered relative
to the preparation of a relocation claim for Mr. and Mrs.
Courtney Pince is hereby in all respects approved for
payment by the Village.
2) That the Village Attorney be and is hereby authorized
and directed to take all steps necessary to apply for
a budget revision in the relocation benefits payable under
said Project No. MINN-OSA-27 sufficient to enable the
Village to pay said relocation claim of Mr. and Mrs. Courtney
Pince.
Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights,
Minnesota this 3rd day of August, 1971.
