Res 71 - 409 Ordering Street Improvements for the Rogers Lake Shore Addition & Adjacent Streets & for the Timmy St, Theresa St & Cullen Ave & Ordering Preparation of Plans & Specifications Therefor?>_ . _C�_ Village of Mendota Heights Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 409 RESOLUTION ORDERING STREET IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE ROGERS LAKE SHORE ADDITION AND ADJACENT STREETS AND FOR TIMMY STREET, THERESA STREET, AND CULLEN AVENUE AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS THEREFOR. WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the 16th day of March, 1971, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall of the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, pursuant to resolution previously adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights on the question of the proposed construction of the following described improvements: 1. The construction of street improvements consisting of the grading, stabilization, drainage and bituminous sur- facing on the streets in the area situated within the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, and more particu- larly described as follows, to wit: All property abutting on Timmy Street between Curley Avenue and Cullen Avenue, Theresa Street between Curley Avenue and Cullen Avenue and Cullen Avenue between Timmy Street and Theresa Street all in Curley's Valley View, also more particularly identified as lots 10 through 17 of Block 5 Curley's Valley View and lots 4 through 26 of Curley's Valley View Replat. and 2. The construction of street improvements consisting of the grading, stabilization, drainage and bituminous sur- facing on the streets in the area situated within the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, and more particu- larly described as follows, to wit: All property located between State Trunk Highway No. 49 (Dodd Road) on the east, Rogers Lake on the west, Cheri Lane on the north and the southerly line of which shall be a line located 350 feet south of and parallel to Lake Drive and running between State Trunk Highway No. 49 and Rogers Lake; together with Lots 15, 16, 18, 19, 20 and 21 of Linden Addition, all within the Village of Mendota Heights. WHEREAS, due publication of the notices of public hearing on said proposed construction has been attended to, and WHEREAS, mailed notice of said hearing has been mailed more than 10 days before the date of said hearing to the owners of each parcel situated within the areas proposed to be assessed for said separate improvements, all in accordance with the applicable Minnesota Statutes, and WHEREAS, the:Village Engineer reported that the proposed improve- ments and construction thereof were feasible and desirable and further reported on the proposed costs of said improvements and construction thereof, and WHEREAS, the Village Council then proceeded to hear all persons interested in said improvements and all persons were afforded an opportunity to present their views and objections to the making of said improvements, and WHEREAS, the Village Council has determined to combine said two separate improvement projects for the purpose of obtaining bids therefor on said combined improvement projects, NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows: 1) That it is advisable, feasible, expedient and necessary that the Village of Mendota Heights construct each of the above described improvement projects and it is hereby ordered that said improvements be made; 2) That the above described improvement projects be combined for the purpose of obtaining construction bids therefor and hereafter said improvements as so combined shall be known and designated as Improvement No. 71, Project No. 1; 3) That the Village Engineer be and is hereby instructed to proceed with the preparation of the necessary plans and specifications for said improvements.
