RESOLUTION NO. 481
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FACSIMILE SIGNATURE
ON VILLAGE PAYROLL CHECKS
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Village to authorize
a facsimile signature of the Mayor's signature to be used and
honored on payroll checks of the Village, and •
WHEREAS, under the applicable Minnesota Statutes, the use of a
facsimile signature is authorized provided that the Village obtain
appropriate insurance protecting the Village against the loss of
any public funds withdrawn upon unauthorized use of such facsimile
signature.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of the
Village of Mendota Heights as follows:
1) That the payroll checks of the Village may hereafter
bear the facsimile signature of the Mayor of this
Village and such payroll checks with such facsimile signa-
ture shall be honored as fully as though they each bore
the manually written signature of the Mayor. •
2) That the Village obtain an appropriate insurance
policy insuring the Village against loss of any public
funds withdrawn upon unauthorized use of such facsimile
signature in the amount of at least $1,000.00.
