Res 73 - 54 Ordering Construction of Drainage System & Lake Level Control System for Rogers Lake Together with Ditch Cleaning & Still Pond ConstructionVillage of Mendota Heights Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 73-54 RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF DRAINAGE SYSTEM AND LAKE LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ROGERS LAKE TOGETHER WITH DITCH CLEANING AND STILL POND CONSTRUCTION (IMPROVEMENT NO. 72, PROJECT NO. 4) WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the 17th day of April, 1973, at 8:00 P.M. at the Mendota Heights Village Hall in the Village of Mendota iieights, Minnesota, pursuant to resolution adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights on March 20, 1973, on the question of the proposed construction of the following described improvements: The construction of a control structure and underground pipes (including appurtenances and i:ncidentals thereto) to control the level of Rogers Lake including the acquisi- tion of land and easements necessary to construct and operate a drainage system and a lake level control system for Rogers Lake and to clean the existing drainage ditch in Interstate Valley from the Friendly Hi11s area to S.T.H. No. 110 together with the construction of stilling ponds in Friendly Marsh Park, and WHEREAS, due publication of the notice of public hearing on said pro- posed construction has been attended to, and WHEREAS, mailed notice of said hearing was mailed more than ten days before the date of said hearing to the owners of each parcel situated within the area proposed to be assessed all in accordance with the applicable Minnesota Statutes, and WHEREAS, the Village Engineer reported that the proposed improvements and construction thereof were feasible and desirable and further reported on the proposed cost of said improvements and construction thereof, and wHEREAS, the Village Council then proceeded to hear a11 persons interested in said improvements and all persons were afforded an opportunity to present their views and objections to the making of said improvements. NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows: t„n ^n 1) That it is advisable, feasible, expedient and necessary that the Village of Mendota Heights construct the above des- cribed improvements, and it is hereby ordered that said improvements be made. 2) That the Village Engineer be and is hereby instructed to proceed with the preparat3on of the necessary plans and specitications for said improvements.
