RESOLUTION ORDERING STREET IMPROVEi�IENTS ON
MARIE AVENUE BETWEEN DODD ROAD AND DELAWARE
AVENUE
WHEREAS, a publ.ic hearing was held on the 27th day of February, 1973,
at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the Village Hall of the Village of Mendota
Heights, Minnesota, pursuant to resolution adopted by the Village
Council of the Village of Mendota Heights on February 6, 1973, on
the question of the proposed construction of the following described
improvements:
The construction of street improvements consisting of
storm sewers, and the grading, stabilization, drainage
and bituminous surfacing, the acquisition of right�of
way and easements, and the construction of sidewalks
and of concrete curbs and gutters on Marie Avenue
between Dodd Road and Delaware Avenue, and
WHEREAS, the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is
situated within the Village of Mendota Heights in Dakota County,
Minnesota, and is more particularly described as all properties
abutting on Marie Avenue between Dodd Road and Delaware Avenue,
and
WHEREAS, due publication of the notice of public hearing on said
proposed construction has been attended to, and
WHEREAS, mailed notice of said hearing has been mailed more than 10
days before the date of said hearing to the owners of each parcel
situated within the area proposed to be assessed, all in accordance
with the applicable Minnesota Statutes, and
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer reported that the proposed improvements
and construction thereof were feasible and desirable and further
reported on the proposed costs of said improvements and construction
thereof , and
WHEREAS, the Village Council then proceeded to hear all persons
interested in said improvements and all. persons were afforded an
opportunity to present their views and objections to the making of
said i.mprovements,
WHEREAS, the Council has requested permission from the Department
of Highways of the State of Minnesota to construct said street to
a finished surface of 36 feet with a street right of way of 66 feet,
and

WHEREAS, such permission has been received from the Department of
Highways of the State of Minnesota. , .
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Village Council of the
Village of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows:
1) That it is advisable, feasible, expedient and necessary
that the Village.of Mendota Heights construct the above
described improvements, and it is hereby ordered that said
improvements be made provided, however, that said street be
constructed� with a finished surface of 36 feet and with a
street right of way ot 66 feet and that such construction
shall not include sidewalks.
2) That the Village Engineer be and is hereby instructed
to proceed with the preparation of the necessary plans
and specif ications for said improvements.
3) That hereafter said improvements shall be known and
designated as Improvement No. 73, Project No. 1.
Adopted by the Village Council this 21st day of August, 1973.
