RESOLUTION NO. 74-66
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING ENGINEER'S REPORT AND
CALLING FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED CON5TRUCTION
OF STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND OF AN EXTENSION
TO THE CITY'S SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM FOR THE
ORCHARD PLACE, HUNTER LANE, AND CULLIGAN
LANE AREA
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has submitted his report to the City
Council with respect to the proposed construction of the following
improvements:
The construction of street improvements consisting of
the acquisition of easements and the grading, stabiliza-
tion, drainage and bituminous surfacing of the streets
].ocated in the area hereinafter described, and
The construction of an e�tension to the City's sanitary
sewer system, including appurtenances and incidentals
thereto, and the acquisition of easements to serve the
area hereinafter more particularly describecl.
WHEREAS, the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is
situated within the City of Mendota Heights in Dakota County,
Minnesota, and is mo�e particularly described as follows:
A11 properties situated within the fol.lowing described area
located in the City of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, to-wit:
A line commencing at the center of the intersection of
Lexington Avenue and Overlook Road, thence proceeding west-
ward to the westerly City limits of Mendota Heights; thence,
following the City limits in a southwesterly and southerly
direction to the north right of way line of State Trunk
Highway 110; thence easterly along said right of way line
to a point approximately 660 feet easterly of the center of
Lexington Avenue; thence, north along the line 660 feet east
of Lexington Avenue to the center of Marie Avenue; thence
westerly along the center of Marie Avenue to a point 435 feet
east of the centerline of Lexington Avenue; thence, northernly
along a line 435 feet east of Lexington to a line 220 feet
north of Marie Avenue thence westerly along a line 220 feet
north of Marie Avenue to the centerline of Lexington Avenue;
thence, northernly approximately 248 feet at the point of
beginning, and there terminating.
WHEREAS, in said report said City Engineer reported that the pro-
posed improvements and construction thereof were feasible and
desirable and £urther reported on the proposed costs of said
improvements.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY
RESOLVED, that the report of said City Engineer be and is
hereby received, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing on said improve-
ments be held on Tuesday, August 20, 1974, at 8:00 o'clock
P.M. at the Mendota Heights City Ha11 in the City of
Mendota Heights, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk, with the aid
and assistance of the City Attorney, be and is hereby
authorized and'directed to prepare a notice of said hearing
and to cause said notice to be published and mailed to the
owners of the property situated within said area, a11 in
accordance with the applicable Minnesota Statutes.
Adopted by the City Council this 16th day of July, 1974.
