RESOLUTION NO. 76-26
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF
BOLSTAD-SHELDON PROPERTY
WHEREAS, in conjunction with the construction of Marie Avenue between
Dodd Road and Victoria Avenue, it is necessary that the City acquire
the following described property situated in Dakota County, Minnesota,
owned by the Bolstad-Sheldon interest, to-wit:
That portion of Lot 3, Block 1, Ridgewood Park described
as follows: Beginning at the Northwest Corner of Lot 3,
Block l, thence Easterly 300 feet along the North line of
said Lot 3, thence Southwesterly to a point, 200 feet South
easterly of the Southwest corner and on the Southerly line
of said Lot 3, thence, Northwesterly 200 feet to the Southwest
corner of said Lot 3, thence, Northerly 165 feet to the point
of beginning and there terminating,
and
�i�THEREAS, said landowners have agreed to accept the total sum of $2,250.00
as consideration for said property, and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of the above-described property upon the terms
and conditions set forth above is in the best interests of the City.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows:
1) That the City acquire the above-described property.
2) That as consideration for the acquisition of said property,
the City shall pay to said landowners the total sum of $2,250.00.
3) That the City Attorney be and is hereby authorized and
directed to take all steps necessary to consummate the
acquisition of said slope easement.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights this 6th
day of April, 1976.
