Res 77 - 21 Accepting Bids & Awarding Contract for Construction of Sanitary Sewer, Water, Street & Storm Sewer Improvements to Serve Ivy Falls West - 2nd Addition & Adjacent AreasCity of Mendota Heights Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 77-21 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWER, WATER, STREET AND STORM SE[�IER IMPROVEMENTS TO SERVE IVY FALLS WEST - 2ND ADDITION AND ADJACENT AREAS (IMPROVEMENT N0. 75, PROJECT NO. 3- IVY FALLS WEST 2ND ADDITION) WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the proposed con- struction of sanitary and storm sewer, water and street, curb and gutter improvements to serve Ivy Falls West-2nd Addition (which improvements have heretofore been known and designated as Improvement No. 75, Project No. 3- Ivy Falls West 2nd Addition), bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received complying with said advertisement: NAME OF BIDDER Fischer Sand and Aggregate, Inc. Orfei & Sons, Inc. Richard Knutson, Inc. Consolidated Plumbing & Heating Co. Robert W. Moore Co. Peter Lametti Construction Co. Shafer Contracting Co. C.S. McCrossan, Inc. and AMOUNT OF BID $221,868.66 237,441.91 248,156.60 257,882.10 271,014.00 277,678.00 288,050.25 289,914.80 WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommended that the low bid submitted by Fischer Sand and Aggregate, Inc. of Apple Valley, Minnesota, be accepted. NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows: 1) That the bid of Fischer Sand and Aggregate, Inc. of Apple Valley, Minnesota, submitted for the construc- tion of the above-described improvements be and the same is hereby accepted. 2) That the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver any and all contracts and documents necessary to consummate the awarding of said bids.
