Res 1979 - 01 Authorizing Vacation of Certain Streets in the Plat of Friendly Hills Rearrangement�v ' City of Mendota Heights Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 79 � Ol RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING VACATION OF CERTAIN STREETS IN THE PLAT OF FRIENDLY HILLS REARRANGEMENT WHEREAS, a petition has been duly presented to the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights signed by a majority of the owners of the property abutting upon the following described alley situated in the City of Mendota Heights in Dakota County, Minnesota, to-wit: Al1 of the following portions of the following streets �ituated within the plat of Friendly Hills Rearrangement, to-wit: All that part of Cheyenne Lane lying Easterly and Southerly of a�line drawn from the Southwest corner of Lot 4, Block 14 to the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 15; Al1 that part of Apache Street lying Easterly of a line drawn from the Northwest corner of Lot 22, Block 22 to the Southwest corner of Lot 18, Block 23; All that part of Keokuk Lane lying Easterly of a line drawn from the Northwest corner of Lot 9, Block 23 to the Southwest corner of Lot 13, Block 24; All that part of Navajo Lane lying Easterly of the Southerly extension of the West line of Lot 18, Block 25; together with the South half of Navajo Lane lying Easterly of the Northerly extension of the West line o£ Lot 4, Block 24 and Westerly of the Southerly extension of the West line of Lot 18, Block 25; All that part of Decorah Lane lying Easterly of the Northerly extension of the West line of Lot 2, Block 25; All that part of Ocala Lane lying Easterly of the Northeasterly extension of the Northwesterly line of Lot 8, Block 16; All that part of Tecumseh Circle lying Southwesterly of a line drawn from the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 14 to the Northwest corner of Lot 9, Block 2� and lying Southwesterly of a line drawn from the Northeast corner of Lot 7, Block 28 to the Northwest corner of Lot 12, Block 26; All of Nashua Lane; � All of Yuma Court. an d WHEREAS, notice of a hearing on said petition has been duly published and posted more than two weeks before the date scheduled for a hearing on said petition all in accordance with the applicable Minnesota Statutes, and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on said petition on Tuesday, January 2, 1979, at 7:30 p.m. at the City Hall of the City of Mendota Heights, and WHEREAS, the City Council then proceeded to hear all persons interested in said petition and all persons interested were afforded an opportunity to present their views and objections to the granting of said petition, and WHEREAS, there were no objections presented to said petition. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows: 1) That the vacation of the streets more particularly described above situated in the City of Mendota Heights is in the best interests of the public and the City. 2) That the following described streets situated in the City of Mendota Heights, Dakota County, Minnesota, to-wit: Al1 of the following portions of the following streets situated within the plat of Friendly Hills Rearrangement, to-wit: All that part of Cheyenne Lane lying Easterly and Southerly of a line drawn from the Southwest corner of Lot 4, Block 14 to . the Northwest corner of Lot l, Block 15; All that part of Apache Street lying Easterly of a line drawn from the Northwest corner of Lot 22, Block 22 to the Southwest corner of Lot 18, Block 23; Al1 that part of Keokuk Lane lying Easterly of a line drawn from the Northwest corner of Lot 9, Block 23 to the Southwest corner of Lot 13, Block 24; All that part of Navajo Lane lying Easterly of the Southerly extension of the West line of Lot 18, Block 25; together with the South half of Navajo Lane lying Easterly of the Northerly extension of the West line of Lot 4, Block 24 and Westerly of the Southerly extension of the West line of Lot 18, Block 25; . � All that part of Decorah Lane lying Easterly of the Northerly extension of the West line of Lot 2, Block 25; Al1 that part of Ocala Lane lying Easterly of the Northeasterly extension of the Northwesterly line of Lot 8, Block 16; All that part of Tecumseh Circle lying Southwesterly of a line drawn from the Northeast corner of Lot l, Block 14 to the Northwest corner of Lot 9, Block 28 and lying Southwesterly of a line drawn from the Northeast corner of Lot 7, Block 28 to the Northwest corner of Lot 12, Block 26; Al1 of Nashua Lane� All of Yuma Court. be and the same are hereby vacated. 3) That the City Clerk be and is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and present to the proper Dakota County officials a notice of completion of these vacation proceedings all in accordance with the applicable Minnesota , Statutes.
