RESOLUTION DECLARING EP�RGENCY SZTUATION;
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFZCATTONS AND
� ORDERING MAPLE PARK DRIVE/TVY FALLS CREEK
� DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS AND AUTHORTZING
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
WHEREAS, substantial drainage problems have arisen along Maple Park
Drive in the Ivy Falls area, and
WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in such area such that another heavy
rain storm could cause the loss of driveways and other serious damage
unless such situation is corrected immediately, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer, at the prior direction of the C�.ty
Council, has prepared plans and specifications for said improvements
and has presented such plans and specifications to the City Council
for approval, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer reported that the proposed construction
was feasible and desirable and further reported on the proposed
costs of said improvements and construction thereof.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows:
1) That it is advisable, feasible, expedient and necessary
that the City of Mendota Heights construct the above-described
improvements, and it is hereby ordered that said improvements
be made.
2) That it is hereby declared that the construction of said
improvements is hereby determined to be an emergency and the
construction thereof shall therefore proceed forthwith without
delay.
3) That hereafter, said improvements shall be known and
designated as Improvement No. 79, Project No. 6.
�`1 4) That the plans and specifications for said •improvements
�-1 be and they are hereby in all respects approved.
5) That the City Clerk, with the aid and assistance of the
City Engineer, be and is hereby authorized and directed to
advertise for bids for said improvements, all in accordance
