Res 1980 - 49 Establishing Water Revenue FundCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 80-49 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING WATER REVENUE FUND WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 149, adopted by the City Council on October 18, 1977, established a water surcharge to be imposed for water billings supplied to properties within the City of Mendota Heights; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 151, adopted on December 20, 1977, established a Water Availability Charge to be made for any residential connection to the City's municipal water system; and WHEREAS, the intent and purpose of Ordinance No. 149 and Ordinance No. 151 is to assist in defraying the costs of the establishment, obtainment, construction, reconstruction, repair, replacement, depreciation, enlargement, maintenance and improvement of the municipal water system. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights, that a Water Revenue Fund is hereby established; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all revenues"generated by means of thefWater Availability Charge and Water Surcharge be deposited in said Water Revenue Fund; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that on December 31st of each year, an amount equal, to that specified and authorized in each annual budget document as "Water Surcharge Transfer" be transferred to the Utility Enterprise Fund, to offset expenditures for maintenance of the water system(aI special assessment therefor; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the balance in the Fund after said transfer be transferred to the debt service fund for Improvement No. 77, Project No. 8, (Water System Improvement Project).
