RESOLUTION NO. 82-03
RESOLUTION REQUESTING A VARIANCE TO THE
MSA STANDARDS FOR MARIE AVENUE (VICTORIA
TO LEXINGTON)
WHEREAS, the City of Mendota Heights intends to construct Marie Avenue
(Victoria to Lexington) in the summer of 1982, and
WHEREAS, over 3/4 of Marie Avenue has been previously constructed as a
two lane collector with two parallel parking lanes at a 44 foot roadway
width, and
WHEREAS, a lesser width would help decrease the impact on the adjacent
developed property, and I1
WHEREAS, an 8 foot wide sidewalk is proposed for pedestrian5and bicyclists
along the roadway, and
WHEREAS, a lesser width would not pose any greater safety consideration.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mendota Heights, Minnesota:
To request a two foot variance to the forty-six foot width
as required in accordance with 14 MCAR 1.5032 H.lc two-lane
(collector) High Density Roadway with parallel parking lanes
on both sides.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights this 5th
day of January, 1982.
