Res 1983 - 25A Deferring Payment of a Portion of AssessmentsCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 83-25A RESOLUTION DEFERRING PAYMENT OF A PORTION OF ASSESSMENTS (IMPROVEMENT NO. 81, PROJECT NO. 2) WHEREAS, the City Clerk, with the assistance of Edward F. Kishel, Engineer for the City of Mendota Heights, has calculated the proper amount to be specially assessed for Improvement No. 81, Project No. 2, construction of trunkline water main extension across I-35 at Wagon Wheel Trail; and WHEREAS, the hearing on said assessments was duly held at 7:30 o'clock p.m. on March 15, 1983, at the City Hall in the City of Mendota Heights, Minnesota; and WHEREAS, the proposed assessment roll for said improvements was duly adopted by the City Council on March 15, 1983; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it would be in the best interest of the City of Mendota Heights to defer the payment of a portion of the assessments with respect to the above - referenced improvements in the following amounts and as to the following parcels situated in Dakota County, Minnesota, to -wit: Parcel Lot 11, except the West 203.66 feet thereof, Caroline's Lakeview Addition West 203.66 feet of Lot 11, Caroline's Lakeview Addition Tax Parcel No. 27-16400- 111-00 27-16400- 112-00 Current Owners Assessment Richard W. & $2,125.00 Mary Bebel Deferred Assessment $2,376.00 James & Audrey $2,125.00 $3,654.00 LePore Lot 12, Caroline's 27-16400- Marian H. Wagner Milton H. & Donna Anderson Current Deferred Assessment Assessment $2,575.00 -0- -0- $1,800.00 $2,125.00 $1,080.00 WHEREAS, that portion of each of the above assessments indicated above as being deferred would be deferred with the understanding that said amount, plus interest accrued from March 15, 1983 at the rate of ten percent (10%) per annum, would become immediately payable upon the future development of the parcel to which said deferred assessment relates. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the assessment roll for Improvement No. 81, Project No. 2 be corrected as set forth above. 2. That upon the future development of any of the above- described parcels necessitating the issuance of a building permit from the City of Mendota Heights, the deferred amount of said assessment against to the property to be developed, as more particularly set forth above, will be immediately due and payable, together with interest at the rate of ten percent (10%) per annum from March 15, 1983. 3. That the City Attorney is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this resolution in the office of the County Recorder of Dakota County, Minnesota so that any future purchaser or party in interest relative to any of the above-described parcels will be on notice relative to the deferred assessments described above. Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights this 15th day of March, 1983.
