RESOLUTION NO. 85- 56
RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS ROAD
BETWEEN LEXINGTON AVENUE AND TRUNK HIGHWAY 55
(IMPROVEMENT NO. 84, PROJECT NO. 6)
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the construction of Mendota Heights
Road between Lexington Avenue and Trunk Highway 55 and such improvements as
descibed as follows:
The construction of street improvements consisting of the grading,
stabilization, drainage and bituminous surfacing, and the construction
of concrete curbs and gutters on the street in the area above de-
scribed;
and
WHEREAS, the cost of the construction of such improvements will be paid from
apportionments to the City from the Municipal State Aid street fund pursuant
to Minnesota Statutes, Section 162.09 et. seq. and Dakota County; and
WHEREAS, no assessments are proposed in connection with such construction;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore directed that the City Engineer
proceed with the preparation of plans and specifications thereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared the plans and specifications for
said improvements and has presented such plans and specifications to the
City Council for approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That it is advisable, feasible, expedient and necessary that the
City of Mendota Heights construct the above described improvements.
2. That the plans and specifications for said improvements be and they
are hereby in all respects approved.
3. That the City Clerk with the aid and assistance of the City Engi-
neer be and is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids for
said improvements all in accordance with the applicable Minnesota
Statutes, such bids to be received at the City Hall of the City of
Mendota Heights by 10:00 o'clock A.M. on Thursday, August 29, 1985, at

which time they will be publicly opened in the City Council Chambers of
the City Hall by the City Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will
then be considered by the City Council at its next regular Council
meeting.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights this 6th day
of August, 1985.
