RESOLUTION NO. 85-09
RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RESPECT AND CONDOLENCE
WHEREAS, Edward F. Kishel served the City of Mendota Heights as its
consultant engineer from the date of the City's incorporation in 1956 until
October of 1981; and
WHEREAS, Ed was instrumental in establishing the City's Engineering
Department and was officially appointed as City Engineer in November, 1981;
and
WHEREAS, throughout his long association with the City, Edward Kishel's
foresight and experience were integral to the orderly development of the
community; and
WHEREAS, through his zeal for this community and his exemplary life and
achievements he has attained the respect and affection of its citizens,
Council and staff; and
WHEREAS, Ed passed away suddenly on Saturday, the Ninth of February,
1985.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the City
of Mendota Heights, Minnesota do, by this Resolution and public record,
recognize the profound influence Edward F. Kishel has had on the City and
further recognizes that his death is a distinct loss to the City to which he
contributed so much.
BE'IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council expresses their
deep and profound sympathy to his wife Rose and his children and
grandchildren.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be given to the Kishel
family in recognition of Edward Kishel's respected place in this community.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights this Twelfth day
of February, 1985.
