Res 1986 - 30 Ordering Improvement & Preparation of Plans & Specifications for Sanitary Sewers, Water, Storm Sewers & Street Construction to Serve St. Paul's United Methodist Church & Adjacent AreasCity of Mendota Heights Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 86- 30 RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR SANITARY SEWERS, WATER, STORM SEWERS AND STREET CONSTRUCTION TO SERVE ST. PAUL'S UNITED METHODIST CHURCH AND ADJACENT AREAS (IMPROVEMENT N0. 86, PROJECT NO. 2) WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the 15th day of April, 1986, at 7:45 o'clock P.M. in the City Hall of the City of Mendota Heights, Minnesota pursuant to resolution duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights on the question of the proposed construction of the following described improve- ments: The construction of an extension to the City's sanitary sewer system, in- cluding appurtenances and incidentals thereto, and the acquisition of ease- ments, and the reconstruction where necessary of streets and easements in the area hereinafter more particularly described. The construction of an extension to the City's water distribution system including appurtenances and incidentals thereto, and the acquisition of easements, and the reconstruction where necessary of 'streets and easements in the area hereinafter more particularly described. 4 The construction of a storm sewer system including appurtenances and inci- dental thereto and the acquistion of easements, in and for -the area herein- after more particularly described. The construction of street improvements consisting of the acquisition of easements and the grading, stabilization, drainage and bituminous surfacing, and the construction of concrete curbs and gutters on the streets to be situated in the area hereinafter more particularly described. WHEREAS, due publication of the notice of public hearing on said proposed con- struction has been attended to; and WHEREAS, mailed notice of said hearing has been mailed more than 10 days before the date of said hearing to the owners of each parcel situated within the area proposed to be assessed, all in accordance with the applicable Minnesota Statutes, and WHEREAS, the City Engineer reported that the proposed improvement and construc- tion thereof were feasible and desirable and further reported on the proposed costs of said improvements and construction thereof; and WHEREAS, the area proposed to be assessed for said improvements is situated within the City of Mendota Heights in Dakota County, Minnesota and is more particularly described as follows: North 457.2 feet of the South 490.2 feet of the South Half (S1/2) of the Northeast Quarter (NE1/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW1/4) east of Dodd Road except the East 180 feet, Section 25, Township 28 North, Range 23 West. WHEREAS, the City Council then proceeded to hear all persons interested in said improvement and all persons were afforded an opportunity to present their views and objections to the making of said improvements. NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights, Minnesota as follows: 1. That it is advisable, feasible, expedient and necessary that the City of Mendota Heights construct the above described improvements, and it is hereby ordered that said improvement be made. 2. That the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized and directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement. 3. That said improvement shall hereafter be known and designated as Im- provement No. 86, Project No. 2. Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights this 15th day of April, 1986.
