RESOLUTION NO. 86-94
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING LOCATION OF DAKOTA COUNTY
FACILITIES NEARER THE POPULATION CENTER
WHEREAS, Dakota County is currently one of the most rapidly
growing counties in the State, and projected to continue as such;
and
WHEREAS, the
population growth
WHEREAS, the
spend substantial
facilities;
vast majority of the current population and
is in the northwestern part of the County; and
citizens and local governments of the County
amounts of time and money traveling to County
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Dakota County
Commissioners are encouraged to locate County offices and new
expanded facilities nearer the present projected population
centers of Dakota County; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Mendota Heights
supports amendment to any State legislation which would impede
such a locational decision.
