Res 1988 - 90 Accepting Bids & Awarding Contract for Construction of Water & Storm Sewer Extension to Serve 1176 Sibley Memorial Hwy & Adjacent AreasCi+y Me"do+a H^ig1'ts Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 88- 90 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF WATER AND STORM SEWER EXTENSION TO SERVE 1176 SIBLEY MEMORIAL HIGHWAY AND ADJACENT AREAS (IMPROVEMENT NO. 87, PROJECT NO. 6) WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the proposed con- struction of water and storm sewer extension to serve 1176 Sibley Memorial Highway and adjacent areas (which improvements have heretofore been known and designated as Improvement No. 87, Project No. 6), bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received complying with said advertisement: NAME OF BIDDER AMOUNT OF BID F.M. Excavating $69,900.50 St. Paul, MN Orfei Contracting, Inc. $77,177.33 Hugo, MN Nova -Frost, Inc. $90,378.00 Newport, MN and WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommended that the low bid submitted by F.M. Frattalone Excavating and Grading, Inc. of St. Paul, Minnesota, be accepted. NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the bid of F.M. Frattalone Excavating and Grading, Inc. of St. Paul, Minnesota, submitted for the construction of the above described improvements be and the same is hereby accepted. • 2. That the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver any and all contracts and documents necessary to consummate the awarding of said bids.
