Res 1989 - 86 Amending the Conditional Use Permit to Allow Construction of Security FenceCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS Dakota County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 89- 86 A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF SECURITY FENCE WHEREAS, Mendakota Country Club has made application for an amendment to their Conditional Use Permit to allow for construction of a security fence along their property line; and WHEREAS, the Mendota Heights Planning Commission conducted public hearings on June 27, 1989 and July 25, 1989 to consider an application for an amendment to a Conditional Use Permit to allow for construction of said fence; and WHEREAS, based upon the publ'ic record transcribed on July 25, 1989 the Mendota Heights Planning Commission recommends to the Mendota Heights City Council that the amendment to the Conditional Use Permit to allow for construction of said fence be approved conditioned upon: 1. The enhancement of the fence with groupings of vines; and 2. Plantings of evergreens, hardwoods, and shrubs, to complement the vines, are to be performed on an annual basis, in an approporiate manner, similar to the existing plantings along Highway 110; and WHEREAS, the City Council conducted a public hearing on August 1, 1989 to consider the application to build a security fence and wishes the fence to be galvanized and uniform to the existing fence. NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that the proposed amendment to the Conditional Use Permit would have no adverse effect on the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of the community or surrounding land; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that construction of said fence would not be adverse to the gereral purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said amendment to the Conditional Use Permit to allow for construction of the security fence be approved as presented and proposed; on the condition that: 1. In the Spring of 1990, groupings of vines would be planted every five to six feet along the 600' of fence along Dodd Road as proposed; and pg 1 2. This would be supplemented by plantings of evergreens, hardwoods, and shrubs, on an annual basis, in an appropriate manner, similar to the existing plantings along Highway 110. 3.
