RESOLUTION NO. 89-92
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING DAKOTA COUNTY CHEMICAL HEALTH INITIATIVE
WHEREAS, the City Council of Mendota Heights has a long-
standing interest and concern in the problem of chemical health;
and
WHEREAS, the
wide effort aimed
alcohol; and
City Council has been appraised of a county-
at reducing the demand for illegal drugs and
WHEREAS, the City Council supports the Drug Abuse Resistance
Education (D.A.R.E.) program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council plans to participate in the
county-wide effort.
NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Mendota Heights endorses and supports the application
of the Alliance for Chemical Health to the Robert Wood Johnson
Foundation; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of Mendota
Heights intends to sponsor a chemical-health-related event during
the year of 1990; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of Mendota
Heights will make city park space and other facilities available
to other organizations for the purpose of holding chemically-
free events; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of Mendota
Heights plans to have/hold events for city employees to improve
their level of awareness about chemical health issues for
themselves, their families and the community as a whole.
