RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS, ORDERING PREPARATION OF
ASSESSMENT ROLL AND CALLING FOR AN ASSESSMENT HEARING
ON PROPOSED SEWER, STORM SEWER, WATER, AND APPURTENANCES
TO SERVE FURLONG ADDITION AND ADJACENT AREAS
(IMPROVEMENT NO. 86, PROJECT NO. 4)
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the proposed
construction of sanitary sewer, water, storm sewer and appurtenances
to serve the Furlong Addition and adjacent areas (which improvements
have heretofore been known and designated as Improvement No. 86,
Project No. 4), bids were received, opened and tabulated according to
law and the following bids were received complying with said adver-
tisement:

WHEREAS, Council previously recommended that an assessment hearing be
held prior to the award of contract of the following improvements:
The construction of an extension to the City's sanitary sewer
system, including appurtenances and incidentals thereto, and the
acquisition of easements, and the reconstruction where necessary
of streets and easements in the area hereinafter more particular-
ly described.
The construction of a storm sewer system including appurtenances
and incidental thereto and the acquisition of easements, in and
for the area hereinafter more particularly described.
The construction of an extension to the City's water distribution
system including appurtenances and incidentals thereto, and the
acquisition of easements, and the reconstruction where necessary
of streets and easements in the area hereinafter more particular-
ly described.
The rehabilitation of streets consisting bituminous surfacing, to
be situated in the area hereinafter more particularly described.
WHEREAS, the area for the proposed improvements and to be assessed for
said improvements is situated within the City of Mendota Heights in
Dakota County, Minnesota and is more particularly described as fol-
lows:
Those parts of Section 34 North of the Soo Line Railroad
Right-of-Way, West of Trunk Highway 55 and Southeast of future
Trunk Highway 13 Right-of-Way.
and
Those parts of Section 27 and 34 East of Trunk Highway 55, South
Trunk Highway 110, West of Lexington Avenue and North of I-494,
excluding some portions of Resurrection Cemetery, excluding the
Centre Pointe South Subdivision and excluding the Medallion
Industrial Park.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That the bids for the above project are accepted as submit-
ted.
2. That the total cost of the above described improvements
shall be assessed against all properties benefited by said
improvements.
3. That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to
prepare the separate assessment roll for the above described
improvements showing the proper amount to be assessed
against each of the lots, pieces or parcels of land benefit-
ed by said improvements.
4. That a public hearing on said proposed improvements be held
on Tuesday, May 7, 1991 at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the Mendota
Heights City Hall at 1101 Victoria Curve, in the City of
Mendota Heights.
5. That the City Clerk, with the aid and assistance of the City
Attorney, is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and
attend to the publication and mailing of the necessary
notices of said hearings all in accordance with the applica-
ble Minnesota Statutes.
6. That the City Clerk shall file in her office for public
inspection the proposed assessment roll for the above de-
scribed improvements.
