RESOLUTION NO. 92-14
RESOLUTION ADOPTING LEGISLATIVE REDISTRICTING PLAN AND
DESIGNATING POLLING PLACES
Whereas, Minnesota Statutes Chapter 246 has redefined
legislative district boundaries throughout the state; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mendota Heights is affected by boundary
changes for Legislative Districts 38 and 39; and
WHEREAS, State Statutes require adoption of a Legislative
Redistricting Plan by the city to establish election precinct
boundaries in conformance with the new legislative district
boundaries; and
WHEREAS, precinct polling places must be designated for each
of the city's precincts;
NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the map attached
hereto and identified as 1992 Legislative Redistricting Plan is
hereby adopted as the Mendota Heights Legislative Redistricting
Plan; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the boundaries and polling
places for the election precincts shall be as follow:
Precinct No. 1
Polling Place: Somerset Elementary School
1355 Dodd Road
Boundaries: That part of the city lying east and north
of a line described as follows: commencing at the
intersection of the northern boundary of the city and
State Highway 13, southwesterly along State Highway 13
to Wachtler Avenue, southerly along Wachtler Avenue to
Wentworth Avenue, easterly along Wentworth Avenue to
Dodd Road, southwesterly along Dodd Road to Marie
Avenue, easterly along Marie Avenue to the eastern
boundary of the city.
Precinct No. 2
Polling Place: Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church
1960 So. Lexington Avenue
Boundaries: That part of the city lying east of I-35E
and west of a line described as follows: commencing at
the intersection of S.T.H. 13 and Wachtler Avenue,
southerly along Wachtler Avenue to Wentworth Avenue,
easterly along Wentworth Avenue to Dodd Road,
southwesterly along Dodd Road to Marie Avenue, westerly
along Marie Avenue to I-35E; and that part of the City
lying west of I-35E and east of a line described as
follows: commencing at the intersection of S.T.H. 13
and I-35E, southwesterly along S.T.H. 13 to Lexington
Avenue, south to Overlook Road, east to Lilac Lane
south to its intersection with Marie Avenue, then south
along Walsh Lane to Victoria Road, easterly along
Victoria Road to Lexington Avenue, south to S.T.H. 110,
east to I-35E.
Precinct No. 3
Polling Place: Mendota Elementary School
1979 Summit Lane
Boundaries:
That part of the city lying west of a line described as
follows: Commencing at the intersection of S.T.H. 13
and Lexington Avenue, south along Lexington to Overlook
Road, east to Lilac Lane, then south to the
intersection of Lilac Lane and Marie Avenue, then
along Walsh Lane to Victoria Road, easterly along
Victoria Road to Lexington Avenue, south to S.T.H.
east to I-35E, south along I-35E to the southern
boundary of the City.
Precinct No. 4
Polling Place: St. Paul's United Methodist Church

Boundaries:
That part of the city lying south of Marie Avenue, west
of Delaware Avenue, east of I-35E, and north of a line
commencing at the intersection of Wagon Wheel Trail and
I-35E, easterly along Wagon Wheel to Dodd Road,
southerly along Pagel Road to Keokuk Lane, easterly to
Pueblo Drive, southerly to Mohican Lane, southeasterly
to Pueblo Lane, north to Huber Drive, east to Delaware
Avenue.
Precinct No. 5
Polling Place Options: St. Thomas Academy
Visitation Convent
Boundaries:
That part of the city lying north of I-494, east of I-
35E, west of Delaware Avenue, and south of the
southerly boundary of Precinct 4 as described above.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mendota Heights Legislative
Redistricting Plan and Polling Place locations will become
effective on the date of the State Primary Election, September
15, 1992.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights this
day of 18th day of February, 1992.
