RESOLUTION ADOPTING CITY POLICY FOR IlVIPLIIVIENTA�'ION
OF THE CITY 5TORM WATER DRAINAGE UTILITY ORDINANCE
AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND RATE SCHEDULE
WHER�AS, Council has adopted a Storm Water Drainage Utility Ordinance for the
purpose of managing and funding the City's Storm Water plan; and
WHEREAS, the Ordinance states the Council shall set forth policies for addressing the
implementation of the goals of the Ordinance.
WHEREAS, storm water projects are underway that require a dedicated funding source
be put in place; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has presented information showing the need for a base
charge of $3.50 per quarter as described in the Storm Water Drainage Utility Policy.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Mendota Heights adopts the document titled "STORM WATER DRAINAGE UTII.ITY CITY
POLICY", dated December 15, 1992 as the official City policy for enacting and implementi.ng
the Storm Water Drainage Utility Ordinance.
BE IT FiJRTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council establishes the effective date and
rate charge as follows:
1. The base charge of the Storm Water Utility Rate stxucture be set at $3.50 per
quarter.
2. The utility be effective the third quarter of 1993 with a starting date of 7uly 1,
1993 and a billing due date of October 1, 1993 and the utility be perpetuated until
such time as the Council deems it no longer necessary.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights this 15th day of December,
1992.
