Res 1993 - 07 Approving a Conditional Use Permit for Parcipitative Athletics for the Volleyball Institute of MN.,: CITY OF a2ENDOTA HEIGHTS DAROTA COUNTYg biaNNESOTPi RESOLIITIOI� NO o 93 - 07 A RESOLIITION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL IISL PERMIT FOR PARTICIPATIVE ATHLETICS FOR THE VOLLLYBAI,L INSTITUTE OF MINNESOTA �JHEREAS, the Volleyball Institute of Minnesota has made application for a Conditional Use Permit for Participative Athletics in the "I" Industrial Zoning District to operate a volleyball center at 2444 Enterprise Drive; and �SEREAS, above described volleyball center is located in the R.L. Johnson warehouse, said warehouse located on Lots 4 and 5, and that part of Lot 7, Block 1, Mendota Heights Industrial Park, lying North of the Easterly extension of the South Line of Lot 5; and �SEREAS, the required public hearings were held at the Planning Commission on December 22, 1992 and January 26, 1993; and �iE�REAS, the Planning Commission recommended approval of a Conditional Use Permit for Participative Athletics as proposed in the letter of intent dated January 18, 1993 with attached revised plans subject to two conditions, said conditions being: 1. That the occupancy be limited to a maximum of 200 people and that any greater occupancy requires an Amendment to the Conditional Use Permit; and 2. That proper signage for traffic circulation and parking identification be included in the plans for staff approval. WSEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said Conditional Use Permit application at their February 2, 1993 meeting and added the following conditions, said conditions being: 1. That the volleyball center be limited to volleyball activity and that the use will be considered to be expired if the use, volleyball, ceases for a period of six months, or greater; and 2. That the volleyball center will operate under the guidelines and regulations as published by the Volleyball Institute of Minnesota, as amended from time to time, which will be submitted to the City in original form and as amended. NO�P THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights, Minnesota that said Conditional Use Permit for Participative Athletics be approved subje�t to said conditions recommended by the Planning Commission and those said conditions added at the February 2, 1993 City Council meeting, as described above.
