RESOLUTION ADOPTING AND CONFIRMING ASSESSMENTS
FOR ST. THOMAS ACADIIVdX F'IRE PROTECT IMPROVIIVIENTS

BE ��SOL� by the City Council of the City of 1Vlendota Heights as follows:
�V]�REAS, the City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Enguieer, has calculated the
proper amount to be specially assessed fo� the costs with respect to I�pxovernent No. 92, Pxoject
No. 7, the construction of fire paotection impa�ovements including appurtenances and incidentals
situated in the City of 1Viea�dota �Ieights, Dakota County, Minnesota, anore particularly described
as followse

WHEREAS, the proposed assessment roll has been on file with the Clerk and at all tunes
since its filing has been open for public inspection; and notice thereof has been duly published
and mailed as required by law. Said notice stated the date, time and place of such meeting; the
general nature of the improvement; the area proposed to be assessed; that the proposed
assessment roll has been on file with the Clerk; and that written or oral objections thereto by any
property owne� would be considered; and
�I�AS, said owners have heretofore petitioned the City of Mendota Heights for the
above descxibed nmprovements.
N06�1 �FOItE, �E � HERE�I' �tESOY.VEI), this Council, having made all
n�ssaa�yy adjustxne�ts and corrections, �'inds that each of the lots, pieces and parcels of land
enumexated i� the �xoposed assessa�ent roll was and is specially benefitted by the construction
of said impa�ovements in not less than the amount of the assessment, as corrected, set opposite
the description of each such lot, piece and parcei of land, respectively, and that such amount so
set out is hereby levied against each of the res�ectave lots, pieces and parcels of land therein des-
crabed; and
BE IT FIJRTHER RESOLVED, that the proposed assessment roll is hereby adopted
and confirmed as the proper special assessment for each of said lots, pieces and parcels of land
respectively, and the assessment against each parcel, together with interest at the rate of seven
percent (7°b) per annum accruing on the full amount thereof from time to time unpaid, shall be
a lien concurrent with general taxes upon such parcel and all thereof. The total amount of each
assessment as to fire protection improvements shall be payable in equal amounts extending over
a period of fifteen (15) years; the first of said installments, together with interest on the �ntire
assessment commencing thirty (30) days from the date of the official letter of assessment to
December 31, 1993, to be payable with general taxes for the year 1993, collectible in 1994, one
of each of the reanaining installments, to�ether evitl� one year's intea�est on that and all other
unpaid 'anstallments, to be payable with general taxes fox each consecutave year thereafter until
the entire assessment is paid; and
BE I'� FUIZ��It ItESOL�EID, that paior to October 9, 1993, the owner of any lot,
piece or parcel of land assessed hereby may pay the whole of such assessment without interest
to the City Treasurer; and
�E I'� �'URTHER RESOLVEA, that the Clerk shall prepare and trans�it to the County
Auditor a certified duplicate of said assessment roll with each then unpaid installment and
interest set forth separately, to be extended upon the proper tax lists of the County, aiad the
County Auditor shall thereafter collect said assessments in the manner provided by law.
