Res 1994 - 74 Approving a Special Permit for Parking for Metro II at 1300 MH RoadCITY OF M�NDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY,IVIINNESOTA RESOLUTION NOe 94 74 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SPECIAL PERMIT FOR PARKING FOR METRO II AT 1300 MENDOTA HEIGHTS ROAD WHEREAS, Metro II has made application for a proof of parking variance and for a variance to the required parking stall size to allow a parking stall of eight feet, six inches (8', 6"), as proposed on site plans in Case �ile No. 94-23; and W�REAS, the Mendota Heights Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on August 23, 1994 to review said application; and , . �VHERTAS, on August 23, 1994 the Planning Commission closed the public hearing and voted unanimously (6-0) to recommend that City Council approve a proof-of-parking variance and a parking stall size variance to allow 8', 6" stalls, subject to confirmation by City staff as to the usable office space; and ++ , the Ciry Council reviewed said application for Variances at their September 6, 1994 and October 18, 1994 meetings; and WHEREAS, the buildi.ng contains 40,000 square feet and a change in the tenant mix or use of the building could create a higher demand for parking; and ++ , upon review of the application the City Council desired to grant a Special Use Permit rather than a proof of parki.ng variance. NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Aeights that a special use permit for parking be approved with the following condition: This special use permit is based on the current density of use at 24,000 square feet of office space and any future building usage which would result in a substantial increase in the density and/or intensity of use would require an amended special use permit for P�'�g• ' Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights this 18th day of October, 1994.
