Res 1996 - 94 Approving a Preliminary Plat, 2 Variances & a Conditional Use Permit for the Heritage Inn on Northland DriveCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY, NIINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 96-g4 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PRELINIINARY PLAT, TWO VARIANCES AND A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR THE HERITAGE INN ON NORTHLAND DRIVE WHEREAS, Tharaldson Development has requested a Preliminary Plat, a Conditional Use Pernut for a Hotel in the Industrial Zone, a Variance to allow the trash enclosure to be in an accessory service building, and a 2' variance from the required distance between parking and the hotel building, all as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case No. 96-34; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission of the City of Mendota Heights held a public hearing on this application at their November 26, 1996, meeting; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 6-0 (with one member absent) on June 25, 1996 to recommend that the City Council approve this application, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that a Preliminary Plat, a Conditional Use Pernut for a Hotel in the Industrial Zone, a Variance to allow the trash enclosure to be in an accessory service building, and a 2' variance from the required distance between parking and the hotel building, all as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case No. 96-34 is hereby granted on the conditions that the drainage plans be constructed according to the City Engineer's recommendations and the appropriate changes as required by the Fire Marshal be incorporated. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that the proposed a Preliminary Plat, a Conditional Use Permit for a Hotel in the Industrial Zone, a Variance to a11ow the trash enclosure to be in an accessory service building, and a 2' variance from the required distance between parking and the hotel building, all as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case No. 96-34 would have no adverse impact on the health, safety and/or general welfare of the citizens of the community and the surrounding land, and would not be adverse to the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
