Res 1998 - 15 Denying a Variance for Temporary Signs at Henry Sibley High SchoolCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 98-15 ,A RESOLUTION DENYING A VARIANCE FOR TEMPORARY SIGNS AT HENRY SIBLEY HIGH SCHOOL WHEREAS, Mr. Greg Fehrman has applied for a variance to Section 21.5(5) of the Zoning Ordinance for temporary signs, as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case No. 98-02; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission of the City of Mendota Heights discussed this application at their February 24, 1998 meeting; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 7-0 on February 24, 1998 to recommend that the City Council deny this application. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that a variance to Section 21.5(5) of the Zoning Ordinance, as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case No. 98-02, is hereby denied. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that the variance, as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case No. 98-02 would have an adverse impact on the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of the community and the surrounding land, and would be adverse to the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
