RESOLUTION 98- 42
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 5' FRONT YARD SETBACK VARIANCE
FOR A NEW HOME AT 1039 LONDON ROAD
WHEREAS, Mr. Michael D. Haverkamp has applied for a 10' front yard setback
variance for a new home at 1039 London Road as proposed on plans on file in Planning
Case No. 98-21; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission of the City of Mendota Heights discussed
this application at their regular meeting on June 23, 1998; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission held a public hearing on this application at
their June 23, 1998 meeting; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 5-1 on June 23, 1998 to
recommend that the City Council deny this application; and
WHEREAS, The applicant stated at the Council meeting on July 7, 1998 that a
five foot front yard setback variance would be acceptable,
NOW, '1.HLREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mendota Heights that a five foot front yard setback variance for a new home at
1039 London Road as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case No. 98-21 is hereby
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota
Heights that the five foot front yard setback variance for a new home at 1039 London
Road as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case No. 98-21 would not have an adverse
impact on the health, safety or general welfare of the citizens of the community and the
surrounding land, and would not be adverse to the general purpose and intent of the
Zoning Ordinance.
