Res 1998 - 53 Authorixzing Participation in the MN Auto Theft Prevention Program GrantCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 98- 53 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE MINNESOTA AUTO THEFT PREVENTION PROGRAM GRANT WHEREAS, the Minnesota Legislature has created the Minnesota Auto Theft Prevention Program; and WHEREAS, the Minnesota Auto Theft Prevention Program has announced the availability of funds to enhance local jurisdictions' ability to prevent, investigate and prosecute auto theft offenders; and WHEREAS, the Mendota Heights Police Department has applied for and has been approved to receive funding under this program; and WHEREAS, the training and equipment purchased under this grant will be shared with the police departments of the Cities of Mendota Heights, South Saint Paul, West Saint Paul, Newport and the Dakota County Sheriff's Office; and WHEREAS, the South Saint Paul Police Department will act as the lead and fiscal agent for the administration of the grant; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That approval is granted to accept this grant from the Minnesota Auto Theft Prevention Program. 2. That the City Administrator is designated as the official representative for the City of Mendota Heights. Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights this 18th day of August, 1998.
