Res 1998 - 57 Approving a Special Permit to Turners Gymnastics Center for a Temporary SignCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 98-5 7 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SPECIAL PERMIT TO TURNERS GYMNASTICS CENTER FOR A TEMPORARY SIGN WHEREAS, Ms. Sheryl Forshier, Director of Turners Gymnastics Center has requested a Special Temporary Sign Permit allowing a 100 ft2 temporary sign facing Highway 35E, as presented to the Council on the evening of August 18, 1998; and WHEREAS, Turner's Gymnastics has agreed to adhere to certain conditions enumerated below, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that a Special Temporary Sign Permit allowing a 100 ft2 temporary sign facing Highway 35E, all as presented to the Council on the evening of August 18, 1998, is hereby granted subject to the following conditions: 1. That Turner's Gymnastics contact the City's Code Enforcement Office and apply for and receive a Sign Permit. 2. That this Special Temporary Sign Permit is for a one-time use only between August 19, 1998, and September 18, 1998, and this sign must be displayed no earlier than midnight on August 19, 1998 and removed no later than 11:59 p.m. on September 18, 1998. 3. That Turner's Gymnastics submit a written letter to the City of Mendota Heights by December 31, 1998 reporting on the effectiveness of this banner sign. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that this Special Temporary Sign Permit allowing a 100 ft2 temporary sign facing Highway 35E, as presented to the Council on the evening of August 18, 1998, under the above conditions would have no adverse impact on the health, safety or general welfare of the citizens of the community and the surrounding land, and would not be adverse to the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
