A RESOLUTION APPROVING A ONE FOOT SETBACK VARIANCE
AND A THREE FOOT HEIGHT VARIANCE FOR A SIGN
AT SAINT PETER' S CHURCH
WHEREAS, Mr. Neil Black of Saint Peter's Church has applied for a one foot
setback variance and a three foot height variance for a sign as proposed on plans on file in
Planning Case No. 98-28; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission of the City of Mendota Heights discussed
this application at their regular meeting on August 25, 1998; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission held a public hearing on this application at
their August 25, 1998 meeting; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted on August 25, 1998 (with one
member absent) to recommend that the City Council approve this application,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mendota Heights that a one foot setback variance and a three foot height variance
for a sign as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case No. 98-28 is hereby approved on
the following condition.
1. That the sign be no brighter than the monument signs at City Hall.
BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota
Heights that this approved one foot setback variance and three foot height variance for a
sign as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case No. 98-28 under the above condition
would not have an adverse impact on the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens
of the community and the surrounding land, and would not be adverse to the general
purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
