LIMITED USE PERMIT FOR SP 1917
WSEREAS, Mendota I3eights desires to construct a trail on TH 149 (Dodd Road)
right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, a Lirinited Use Permit is required by MnDOT in order to construct such
a trail.

Mendota Heights that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign a Limited Use Pernut
allowing for a tz�aii to be constiucted along Dodd Road {T.H. 149}.

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A CHANGE IN THE DEPARTURE PROCEDURES
FOR THE MENDOTA HEIGHTS-EAGAN CORRIDOR
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Auports Commission (MAC) is considering the
establishment of Noise Abatement Departure Profile procedures to provide noise mitigation to
communities surrounding Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport; and
WHEREAS, the MAC has an established practice of giving prime consideration to
those areas most heavily impacted by air noise; and
WHEREAS, the Mendota Heights-Eagan corridor receives a majority of all departures
from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport; and
WHEREAS, the MAC analysis demonstrates that 470 residential or schaol properties
within Mendota Heights would experience a reduction in noise levels within the DNL 65 noise
contour if the current Distant departure procedure was switched to a Close-In departure
procedure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Mendota Heights, that Mendota Heights formally requests that the Metropolitan Airports
Commission immediately implement the Close-In departure procedure for the Mendota.
Heights-Eagan corridor.
