RESOLUTION NO. 97-� 39
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A 38-FOOT SETBACK VARIANCE
TO NORTHLAND DRIVE PARTNERSHIP FOR A SIGN
WHEREAS, Mr. Dave Gravelle of Northland Drive Partnership has requested a
setback variance for a sign, as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case No. 97-19; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission of the City of Mendota Heights held a
public hearing on this application at their July 29, 1997 meeting; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 5-1 (with one Commissioner
voting in the negative and one Commissioner absent) on July 29, 1997 to recommend that
the City Council approve this application,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mendota Heights that a 38-foot setback variance for a sign, as proposed on plans
on file in Planning Case No. 97-19 is hereby granted under the following conditions:
1. That the sign be at least 20 feet from the curb, and 2 feet from the property line.
2. That in the future, if the curb is to be moved closer to the sign, the sign must also be
moved to maintain the 20 foot distance from the curb.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota.
Heights that the proposed 38-foot setback variance for a sign as proposed on plans on file
in Planning Case No. 97-19 will have no adverse impact on the health, safety or general
welfare of the citizens of the community and the surrounding land, and would not be
adverse to the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
