RESOLUTION 99-05
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUILDING PERMIT AUTHORIZATION
AND A FRONT YARD SETBACK VARIANCE
FOR A GARAGE ADDITION FOR 630 SUNSET LANE
WHEREAS, Mr. James Lake has applied for a 6.5 foot front yard setback
variance for a garage addition for 630 Sunset Lane as proposed on plans on file in
Planning Case No. 99-03; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission of the CiTy of Mendota Heights
discussed this application at their regular meeting on January 26, 1999; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 5-2 on January 26, 1999 (with two
Commissioners voting in the negative) to recommend that the City Council deny this
application,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mendota Heights that a 6.5 foot front yard setback variance for a garage addition
at 630 Sunset Lane as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case No. 99-03 and building
permit authorization is hereby denied.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota
Heights that this approved 6.5 foot front yard setback variance for a garage addition at
630 Sunset Lane as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case No. 99-03 and building
permit authorization would have an adverse impact on the health, safety and general
welfare of the citizens of the community and the surrounding land, and would be adverse
to the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
