RESOLUTION 99-08
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUILDING PERMIT AUTHORIZATION
AND A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A MAINTENANCE FACILITY FOR
MENDAKOTA COUNTRY CLUB
WHEREAS, Mr. Bob McKinney has applied for a Conditional Use Permit for a new
maintenance facility at Mendakota Counhy Club as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case
No. 99-02; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission of the City of Mendota Heights discussed this
application at their regular meeting on January 26, 1999; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 7-0 on January 26, 1999 to recommend
that the City Council approve this application under certain conditions,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Mendota Heights that a Conditional Use Permit for a new maintenance facility at Mendakota
Country Club as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case No. 99-02 and building permit
authorization is hereby approved under the following conditions:
1. that the grading and drainage plans be approved by the City Engineer.
2. the landscaping be installed according to the plan submitted by the applicant and dated
February 16, 1999
3. that the lighting consist of wall pack lights only
4. that any rooftop or ground mechanical units be screened from view
5. that the developer and the City execute a Tax Increment Finance agreement to be drafted by
the City Attorney for an amount not to exceed $70,000
6. that the parking on the south side be setback to the level of the fire hall
7. that parking be provided for only 19 cars .
8. that no outside storage be permitted on the east side, north side, or south side of the building,
and only be permitted for materials and vehicles in the bermed area to the west of the
building
9. that the building be finished on all four sides
10. that the pre-color flashing match the tan color of the building
11. the applicant may square off the northwest corner of the building if the applicant provides
additional sufficient landscaping in that area.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights
that this approved a Conditional Use Permit for a new maintenance facility at Mendakota
Country Club as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case No. 99-02 and building permit
authorization would not have an adverse impact on the health, safety and general welfare of the
citizens of the community and the surrounding land, and would not be adverse to the general
purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
