A RESOLUTION APPROVING A SIXTEEN FOOT REAR YARD
SETBACK VARIANCE AND A WETLANDS PERMIT
TO BUILD WITHIN 70 FEET OF A WETLAND
FOR A PORCH AT 703 CHEYENNE LANE
WHEREAS, Mr. Sam Thompson has applied for a sixteen foot rear yard setback
variance and a wetlands permit to build within 70 feet of a wetland for a porch at 703 Cheyenne
Lane, as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case File #00-11; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission discussed this application at their regular
meeting on February 22, 2000, and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 7-0 to recommend that the Council
approve this application due to the hardship of a small lot,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Mendota Heights that a sixteen foot rear yard setback variance and a wetlands permit to build
within 70 feet of a wetland for a porch at 703 Cheyenne Lane, as proposed on plans on file in
Planning Case File #00-11 is hereby approved due to the hardship of a small lot.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights
that this sixteen foot rear yard setback variance and a wetlands permit to build within 70 feet of a
wetland for a porch at 703 Cheyenne Lane, as proposed on plans on file in Planning Case File
#00-11 would not have an adverse impact on the health, safety and general welfare of the
citizens of the community and the surrounding land, and would not be adverse to the general
purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
