RESOLUTION 00-40
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A FRONT YARD SETBACK VARIANCE
FOR A PORCH ADDITION AT 1399 DODD ROAD
WHEREAS, Mr. Robert Shulstad and Ms. Barb Zahasky of 1399 Dodd Road
have applied for a Front Yard Setback Variance for a porch addition to be 40' from the
front property line at 1399 Dodd Road as proposed in Planning Case #00-18; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission discussed this application at their regular
meeting on April 25, 2000 and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 5-1 (with one Commissioner
excused from the meeting) to recommend that the Council either amend the ordinance to
allow this addition without a variance or approve this variance application,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mendota Heights that a Front Yard Setback Variance for a porch addition to be
40' from the front property line at 1399 Dodd Road as proposed in Planning Case #00-18
is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota
Heights that this Front Yard Setback Variance for a porch addition to be 40' from the
front property line at 1399 Dodd Road as proposed in Planning Case #00-18 would not
have an adverse impact on the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of the
community and the surrounding land, and would not be adverse to the general purpose
and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
