A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NINE FOOT FRONT YARD SETBACK
VARIANCE FOR A GARAGE ADDITION AT 1280 SYLVANDALE ROAD
WHEREAS, Mr. Daniel Silver of 1280 Sylvandale Road has applied for a nine -
foot front yard setback variance for a garage addition as proposed in Planning Case #00-
27; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission discussed this application at their regular
meeting on June 27, 2000 and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 5-2 to recommend that the Council
approve this application,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mendota Heights that a nine -foot front yard setback variance for a garage addition
as proposed in Planning Case #00-27 is hereby approved. -
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota
Heights that this nine -foot front yard setback variance for a garage addition as proposed
in Planning Case #00-27•is necessary to alleviate the undue hardship imposed by the
existence of multiple front yards on the lot and would not have an adverse impact on the
health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of the community and the surrounding
land, and would not be adverse to the general purpose and intent of the Zoning
Ordinance.
