RESOLUTION 00-5'4.;
A RESOLUTION DENYING AN APPLICATION FOR AN AMENDMENT TO
THE ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 401 TO ALLOW THE PARKING OF A
COMMERCIAL VEHICLE IN A DRIVEWAY IN THE R-1 ZONE
WHEREAS, Dr. Tom Koepke at 539 John Street has applied for an amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance No. 401 to allow the parking of a commercial vehicle in a
driveway in the R-1 zone as proposed in Planning Case #00-26; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on this
application at their regular meeting on June 27, 2000 and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 7-0 to recommend that the Council
deny this application,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mendota Heights that the application for an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance
No. 401 to allow the parking of a commercial vehicle in a driveway in the R-1 zone as
proposed in Planning Case #00-26 is hereby denied.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota
Heights that this application for an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance No. 401 to allow
the parking of a commercial vehicle in a driveway in the R-1 zone as proposed in
Planning. Case #00-26 would have an adverse impact on the health, safety and general
welfare of the citizens of the community and the surrounding land, and would be adverse
to the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
