Res 2000 - 65 Approving a 5-Foot Front Yard Setback Variance to Allow a Front Porch Addition to the Home at 9 Mears AveCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 00-65 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A FIVE-FOOT FRONT YARD SETBACK VARIANCE TO ALLOW A FRONT PORCH ADDITION TO THE HOME AT 9 MEARS AVENUE WHEREAS, Mr. Mike Kuenster at 9 Mears Avenue has applied for a five foot front yard setback variance to allow a front porch addition to his home as proposed on documents in Planning Case File #00-31; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission discussed this application at their regular meeting on July 25, 2000, and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted 4-1 (with one Commissioner voting in the negative and two Commissioners excused from the meeting) to recommend that the Council approve this application, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that the application for a five foot front yard setback variance to allow a front porch addition the home at 9 Mears Avenue as proposed on documents in Planning Case File #00-31 is hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights that this five foot front yard setback variance to allow a front porch addition the home at 9 Mears Avenue as proposed on documents in Planning Case File #00-31 will not have an adverse impact on the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of the community and the surrounding land, and would be adverse to the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
